Truth about 100 calorie “Snack Packs” is it even good for you?

Nope its lies, all lies. But how? its only 100 calories right? Well 100 calories of the crappiest of unhealthiest food items. With any processed food item it is important to look at the ingredients, no matter what the box promises.
Here is the ingredients list off the side of the box.
Ingredients: enriched wheat flour, sugar, glucose-fructose, canola oil with TBHQ and citric acid, cocoa, corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, salt, ammonium bicarbonate, monocalcium phosphate, colour and artificial flavour.
Let me break those down for you.
Enriched Wheat Flour- Enriched flour is white flour with nutrients returned to it after it has been bleached. It is still bleached flour, same as white.
Sugar– White sugar
Gluctose-Fructose– Sugar
Canola Oil with TBHQ- Oil (Fat) TBHQ Tertiary Butylhydroquinone is a chemical preservative which is a form of butane. It is used in processed foods to delay rancidness which greatly extends the storage life of foods. This is found in McDonald’s Apples (why don’t they turn yellow)
Citric acid- Citric acid is an organic acid. It is a natural preservative and is also used to add an acidic, or sour, taste to foods.
Cocoa-  Self explanatory
Corn starch- Self explanatory
Sodium bicarbonate– Baking Soda
Salt– iodized salt
Ammonium bicarbonate- Ammonium bicarbonate is produced in the process that formerly (Still in lower quality food manufacturers, and foods from other countries) obtained by the dry distillation of nitrogenous organic matter (hair, horn, decomposed urine. EWWW) Some companies will get this material from chalk.
Monocalcium Phosphate- Found in most fertilizers and is made by treating pulverized phosphate rock with either sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid.
So does all that info taken right from the label turn you off? but wait the package has a sensible solutions check sign on it so it must be healthy.
So there you have it 100 calories of pure chemicals and urine waiting to make you thinner!!
Watch what you eat!! Make your own healthy cookies or go to a bakery if you really really want a cookie, they may be more than 100 calories but isn’t your body worth it? Weight loss is more than calories in calories out.
